My Story

My name is Caitlin Gwen Taylor

At 14 years old, two life-altering events reshaped me so profoundly that it felt as if I had died and been given a second chance. In the wake of these experiences, I unconsciously, and later, consciously, chose a path of growth, challenge, and deep awareness. That choice has guided me ever since, shaping a life that is rich, evolving, and deeply meaningful.

But beyond just living, I began to ask myself: What does it mean to live a life worth dying for? A life so full, so intentional, that when the time comes, I can leave with peace, knowing I have truly embraced this amazing experience of living. This question continues to shape my journey, inviting me, and now, you, to explore what it means to embrace both life and death with open arms, with courage, and with love.

I came to understand this even more deeply when my grandmother passed away. I was there, holding her hand as she took her final breaths, surrounded by her children. It was a profound, life-changing experience to witness her passing, surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her own home. It was beautiful, and yet in hindsight, I see how much more care, intention, and presence we could have brought before, during, and after her passing. At the time, I didn’t fully grasp the significance of what was unfolding, but now I know...a meaningful death is one that honors life itself.

This realization, along with my love for this planet and for life in all its mystery, has become my calling. I believe we need more compassionate and caring spaces to contemplate and explore our life and end-of-life journeys as a vital thread in the celebration of life. I am here to help create those spaces, where individuals and families can hold both life and death with grace, intention, and love.
